Thanks to the Buber programme, I had the chance to focus on my research and build up my academic profile. I am currently Juniorprofessor for Medieval History with a focus in Jewish History at Trier University, Germany.

In August 2023 I joined the Department for Social and Cultural Anthropology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich as an Assistant Professor (Akademische Rätin), where I am teaching and working on my "Habilitation". 

Following my Buber fellowship, I joined Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology.

From August 2016 Dr. Manekin is holding a position at the International Relations Department department at Huji

I always made sure to stay close to Buber. At first my path was a few hundred meters away to the Rabin Building and now I am closer at Floor 2 of Mandel Building.
