About the society
The Martin Buber Society of Fellows (MBSF) is a joint German-Israeli program for postdoctoral fellows whose goal is to create a vibrant and enriching environment for outstanding young scholars in all fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Fellows are granted up to 4 years of generous support. The Society is housed in the newly built, state-of-the-art Mandel School at the Mt. Scopus Campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with optimal conditions and a great deal of freedom and support for pursuing cutting-edge research.
At any given time, the Society consists of 30-40 researchers who make up a true community, where ideas are exchanged, joint projects evolve, and friendship is found.
The MBSF is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).
