We are very proud to congratulate our fellow, Dr. Johannes Czakai! His book "Nochems neue Namen", on the history of Jewish family names in Galicia, has been awarded the Hedwig Hintze Award of the Association of German Historians (VHD).
The award is given every two years to an outstanding historical Ph.D. thesis in Germany and was selected out of 38 dissertations.
