This year, we had our annual Blossom Excursion in the Botanical Garden next to our building! We set out to explore the first signs of spring together with Dr. Meni Neuman, Head of the Botanical Garden on Mount Scopus. The Botanical Garden is unique as an ecological conservatory for a diverse collection of plant groups, preserving authentic Israeli species within their natural habitats from around the country. Meni gave us a very elaborate and interesting tour of the Garden, explaining all the different plants and flowers, and the questions behind the decisions to include each one in the Garden. We also visited the ancient burial caves from the Second Temple period of Nicanor of Alexandria, as well as those of two Zionist leaders who have been buried in the caves.
