This workshop, led by Dr. Carolin Mueller, brought together scholars, artists, and cultural practitioners to critically examine how migranticization influences art and cultural narratives. Participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the racialization of mobility and its impact on cultural institutions, exploring how migration-themed art often reinforces divisions rather than fostering inclusion.
Key topics included the tension between political agendas and artistic freedom, the challenges of representing marginalized voices, and the potential of art to drive meaningful social change. Together, we identified ways to rethink institutional frameworks and promote cultural practices that embrace diversity and equity.
This inspiring exchange highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in shaping a more inclusive cultural landscape. We thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful dialogue.
