The annual get-together of the Buber and the Polonsky Fellows has become a tradition. This year, we chose to hold it through a fascinating visit to the exhibition “Tastes of Heaven: Tales of the Arab Kitchen” at the Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem.
The exhibition was curated by our fellow Dr. Limor Yungman, in collaboration with Adi Namia Cohen.
Limor led us on a captivating journey through the exhibition, which successfully illustrates the story of the Arab kitchen through archaeological artifacts, art pieces, and contemporary clips. We concluded the visit with a tasting of dishes prepared by Chef Ranam Barhom from the Rashta Restaurant, who also helped to reconstruct and film ancient Arab recipes for the exhibition.
