The Second Jerusalem Workshop for the Study of Ancient Jewish Magic brought together some of the leading scholars of Jewish Magic alongside young scholars. The lectures focused on the Babylonian incantation bowls; unpublished lead amulets from Palestine; magic recites from Cairo Geniza; Demonic rites; the magic functions of corpses of those who died violently; angels and exorcists. The workshop was concluded by Prof. Gideon Bohak’s remarks on the past, present and future of the study of ancient Jewish magic
