Dr. Matthias Hack

Dr. Matthias Hack studied geology at the Ludwig-Maximilians- University in Munich. In 1987 he received his doctorate certificate (Dr.rer. nat.). Mr. Hack worked for national and international organisations like the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ GmbH) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Since 1991 he serves the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). From 2006 to 2011 Mr. Hack worked as head of the “Science and Technology Division” at the German Embassy to China. In 2013 he became head of the division “Cooperation with European Countries, Israel. Mr. Hack is the representative of the BMBF in the board of the Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
